Michael J. Flaherty

Michael J. Flaherty - co-founder

A trial lawyer since 1983, Michael is a past president of a national lawyers' association, a member of the federal trial bar of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, and is active in several charitable organizations. He is recognized nationally as a lawyer's lawyer and routinely calls upon his lawyer contacts throughout the United States when considering case-specific affiliations with other law firms.

Richard J. Jacobson

Richard J. Jacobson - co-founder

A trial lawyer since 1977, Richard is a member of the federal trial bar of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and teaches trial advocacy at Northwestern University Law School. Richard has written extensively on professional liability and trial-related issues. He is active in national lawyers' associations and a former Chair of the Chicago Bar Association's committee on legal malpractice. Richard's extensive computer background is frequently called on to augment F&J's complex litigation services.
