philosophyF&J was founded in 1996 by two trial lawyers who had been partners in a large, national law firm, where they represented corporations, lawyers, and law firms in litigation and risk management. Guided by their understanding of the incentives and risks common to providers of legal services, F&J's founders rejected the business model that would have them leverage their compensation by employing significant numbers of junior lawyers. Instead, F&J focused on efficiency and flexibility. F&J is a small litigation-only firm that right-sizes its legal service team and fee structure for each engagement. With client consent, F&J will at times affiliate with other law firms and non-lawyer professionals to handle cases. For all of its engagements, F&J's mission remains the same - building the right team at the right price to address the litigation needs of its client. |
